Crash Games Guide

How crash games work

A crash round has three phases: a short betting window, a multiplier that climbs from 1.00x and a crash at a point set by the random number generator. This guide explains who decides the crash point, why a cash-out click can arrive late and how rounding affects small stakes, using the rules of ten real games.

The round in three phases

Diagram: the multiplier rises from 1.00x; a cash-out at 1.65x wins, the round crashes later at 1.94x time →mult.1.00x cash-out 1.65x crash 1.94x betting window
Example from our Aviator test: cash-out at 1.65x won; the plane flew away at 1.94x.
  1. Betting window. A short countdown (5 seconds in Aviatrix and Crash X) or a “bet receiving” phase in Helicopter X. Bets placed during a flight are queued for the next round.
  2. Flight. The multiplier starts at 1.00x. Cash-out is possible from 1.01x in JetX, Crash X, Space XY and Helicopter X.
  3. Crash. The plane flies away, the rocket explodes, the balloon pops. Unsettled bets are lost.

Who decides the crash point?

The game’s random number generator. Aviator’s rules say the multiplier at which the plane flies away is generated before each round starts by a provably fair RNG. JetX’s rules say the result “is not influenced by the player’s actions, previous rounds, bet amount, cashout choices, or betting strategy”. Read more on provably fair crash games.

Why your click can be late

JetX’s rules state that cash-out requests usually take 200–300 ms and are settled at the multiplier when the server processes them. Crash X shows your ping and recommends auto cash-out above 2000 ms. In our own tests, manual clicks arrived too late in five rounds across Aviator, JetX, Aviatrix and Crash X.

Rounding works against small stakes

Crash X rounds wins down to two decimals and says this can push the RTP of a 0.1 bet down to 88.07%. Space XY rounds cents “in favour of the house”. Aviamasters rounds profit up when the win exceeds the bet and down when it doesn’t.

Single-player variants

Chicken Road, Chicken Road 2.0 and Balloon start a new round when you press the button, and the risk grows with each step or pump. Aviamasters goes further and removes the cash-out entirely.
